A petrol pump operator was killed in Bhiwapur by three people on a motorcycle. The killers used sharp weapons, including a Mauser, to kill the victim. Dilip Rajeshwar Sontakke (age 65) is the name of the deceased, who is a petrol pump operator and a Nagpur resident.
According to the information given by the police, Dilip Sontakke was sitting in the cabin of the petrol pump on Wednesday morning. Around 10 am, three people came to the petrol pump riding a two-wheeler. As soon as they reached the petrol pump, all three assailants entered the cabin. One of them fired directly at Sontakke’s earlobe with a Mauser. While the other two struck him with sharp weapons. After that, all three of them hurriedly left. Hearing the gunshot, the employees on duty at the petrol pump rushed to Sontakke’s cabin. But seeing the Mauser and sharp weapons with the accused, no one dared to stop them.
After the Panchnama, the body was sent to a hospital for post-mortem. The motive behind this murder is not yet clear. It is said that the murder was due to a property dispute. The police have started checking the CCTV footage of the area to trace the accused.
