The Division has recently awarded 3 more Non-Fare Revenue contracts for advertisement rights at Platform No 2/3, 4/5 & 6/7 by Non-Digital media through e-auction with annual Revenue of Rs. 76.20 Lakhs from these new contacts. This new revenue now brings up a cumulative annual earning of Nagpur Railway station to Rs. 1.46 Crs. from advertisement rights of various digital and non-digital media. This revenue comes from Advt. right through Dual Display System TVs, Video wall, Jingle advertisement right in public announcement system, 3D LED globe and various sign board & glow signboard media.
Indian Railways classifies all Railway Station on the basis of average footfall and passenger earnings from these stations. NSG-2 stations are those stations having passenger earnings of more than Rs. 100 Crs and less than Rs. 500 Crs with passenger footfall of More than 10 million but less than 20 million annually. Nagpur is one of 77 such Railway stations categorised as NSG – 2 Railway Station over Indian Railway.
