The Khaparkheda police raided seven places that run gambling dens through video game parlours in the name of entertainment. Khaparkheda police seized about 18 lakhs worth of machines, and 26 persons were arrested.
For the past few days, gambling dens had started in Khaparkheda under the guise of video game parlours in the name of entertainment. This place is crowded with gamblers day and night. Along with the workers, many college youths also come here for gambling. From this business, operators are making money every day.
Khaparkheda police formed seven different teams and raided seven gambling dens after getting the information about this gambling den which was running unhindered. In this raid, 88 gambling machines were seized by the police. The price of this machine is 17 lakh, 60 thousand rupees. The police also seized cash worth Rs.18,800 and materials worth Rs.7,200 from there.
