Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced financial help of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of 25 people who died in a private bus accident in Pimpalkhuta in Buldana district.
The bus of Vidarbha Travels going to Pune met with a major accident. The bus caught fire and 25 passengers died in the accident. Eight others sustained serious injuries.
Shinde also announced that the expenditure on treatment of the injured will be borne by the government. He said that the government authorities are in contact with the district administration to ensure all possible help to the passengers in the ill-fated bus.
