The India meteorological department has predicted heavy rains in Nagpur district on September 15 and 16. The authorities have alerted the persons living in low-lying areas and at the banks of rivers and nullahs to shift to safer places as the department has issued an orange alert.
Meanwhile, the totladoh reservoir filled to 99.92 percent due to release of rain waters from Madhya Pradesh. The authorities opened two gates to release the water and they appealed to villagers to be careful. The head of meteorological department ML Sahu said that there is a low pressure zone on Odisha coast in Bay of Bengal.
