Nagpur Municipal Corporation has made arrangements at 211 places for immersion of Ganesh idols. NMC has installed 413 artificial tanks for the immersion of idols.
A total of 19 mobile artificial tanks have also been deployed to facilitate the citizens ti immerse the idols installed in their homes or societies.
The idols above 4 feet will have to be immersed in huge artificial tank made in Koradi.
Immersion in all the natural water lakes in the city has been banned to prevent water pollution.
Municipal Commissioner Dr Abhijit Chaudhari has appealed to the people to cooperate with the civic authorities in maintaining cle3anliness and in preventing water pollution.
Social organisation Green Vigil has been working at Futala Lake premises for the last nine years.
The idols will be immersed on Thursday, September 28, on Anant Chaturdashi day.
