Sontu Jain absconded as soon as the bail application was canceled by the High Court. He had already made a plan to escape. Even before the hearing could begin, he escaped from hotel in filmy style. Now the police is searching for him.
The decision on his anticipatory bail application was scheduled to be taken in the Nagpur bench of the High Court on Tuesday. He was also instructed to report to the police. He was staying in Hotel Bridge Inn of Sadar. However, the police was busy monitoring him since Monday night.
He came out of the hotel around 11 am on Tuesday morning and left in an auto. Police started searching for the auto. The driver told that Sontu got down from the auto after about one and a half km and left in another auto. Police guess that he changed different autos and ran out of the city.
Under the guidance of DCP Mumakka Sudarshan, 6 different teams are searching for him. Sontu has absconded very cleverly, like a professional criminal. Police say that he will not be able to survive for long. His passport has been confiscated. He cannot go out of the country.
However, the police could not find his location because Sontu had switched off his phone since Tuesday night. Information about transactions of accounts operated by Sontu revealed that he was operating the account of a person from Rajkot from his mobile.
