Nagpur: After days of overcast skies, Nagpur and Vidarbha woke up to clearer weather on Saturday, bringing a noticeable drop in the minimum temperature and a slight chill in the air. According to the Meteorological Department, the cold is expected to intensify in the coming days, with temperatures projected to decrease further over the next ten days.
For the past week, the region had been shrouded in heavy cloud cover, leading to warmer-than-usual nights. Minimum temperatures ranged between 15°C and 17°C—3 to 5 degrees higher than the seasonal average. In contrast, daytime temperatures hovered between 25°C and 26°C, creating a unique mix of chilly days and relatively warmer nights.
The clearing skies on Saturday marked the beginning of a cooler phase, as temperatures are now aligning with typical winter patterns for the region. Residents are advised to prepare for more pronounced cold weather in the coming days.
