Shri. Dattaji Meghe Inaugurates Cutting-Edge Healthcare and Education Spaces at SMHRC
Shalinitai Meghe Hospital & Research Centre (SMHRC), Wanadongri, Nagpur, a 1020-bedded multi-superspeciality hospital attached to Datta Meghe Medical College, has once again demonstrated its commitment to patient care by inaugurating several upgraded, state-of-the-art facilities. Known for providing trusted tertiary care to Central India, the hospital continues to expand and enhance its services to meet the needs of patients.
In a recent series of events, significant infrastructure improvements were unveiled and inaugurated to improve patient services and hospital functionality. These include a 300-bed ultra-modern Surgery and Medicine ward with departmental offices located in the Killa Building, a fully renovated and upgraded OPD Complex designed for patient convenience, a 30-bed Psychiatry Ward equipped with advanced facilities, a revamped Medical Records Department (MRD) Complex, and a 300-seat Hospital based Hall featuring the latest audiovisual technology for academic and training purposes.
The inauguration was graced by Shri. Dattaji Meghe, Founder and Chancellor of DMIHER( DU), who dedicated the facilities to the community. He was joined by Shri. Sagarji Meghe, Principal Advisor; Shri. Ravi Meghe, Management Representative; Dr. Lalit Waghmare, Vice Chancellor; Dr. Gaurav Mishra, Pro Vice Chancellor; Dr. Anup Marar, Director – Nagpur Off Campus ; Dr. Ujwal Gajbe, Dean; Dr. B.R. Singh, Vice Dean; Dr. Vasant Gawande, Chief Medical Superintendent; Dr. Sudhir Singh, Assistant Medical Superintendent and all heads of departments, faculty members and staff.
In a thanksgiving gesture all involved vendors and contractors were felicitated by Shri.Dattaji Meghe during this ceremony which sent a lot of positive vibes for this recognition.
Speaking at the event, Dr.Lalit Bhushan Waghmare expressed the hospital’s dedication to excellence in healthcare delivery. He stated that, “These upgraded facilities reflect our commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while integrating modern technology and infrastructure. The new seminar hall also underlines our focus on medical education and research, enabling us to create better-trained professionals who can further enhance patient outcomes.”
Dr.Anup Marar added that these developments are part of their continuous efforts to serve the community with world-class healthcare. The newly inaugurated facilities aim to improve patient comfort, streamline hospital operations, and reinforce the institution’s role as a leader in medical care and health education in Central India.
