India and England are scheduled to play first of the three-match One Day International (ODI) Series on 6th February (Thursday) at VCA Stadium, Jamtha. The last metro train will depart from Khapri Metro Station at 11:30 PM, allowing spectators to conveniently reach their destinations. Thus, the cricket fans can beat the traffic congestion by commuting by Metro to travel back to their houses. The road to the stadium would be flooded with vehicles on the Match Day and hence Metro travel would be best option to avail of.
On its part, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) would provide last/first mile connectivity as it has scheduled special bus services for seamless connectivity between New Airport Metro Station and Stadium. Thus, those travelling to watch the One Day match, can travel to New Airport by Metro train and then reach Stadium by bus. Similarly, while returning, the fans can take bus to New Airport Metro station and then travel by train to their respective destination.
Maha Metro urges cricket enthusiasts to opt for Metro and Bus ride to avoid congestion on city roads on Match Day.
