Three young men drowned after their car fell into a well without a railing. The incident took place in MIDC Butibori area on Monday around 11:30 PM.
Three young men were traveling by car in the MIDC area of Butibori when their car fell into a well by the roadside, The well did not have a railing. The three young men got trapped inside the car and could not escape in time.

Upon receiving the information, Butibori police, fire brigade personnel, and local citizens made strenuous efforts to pull the car out of the well.

The deceased have been identified as Suraj Siddharth Chavan (34), his younger brother Sajan Siddharth Chavan (27), and their cousin Sandeep Chavan (27), all residents of Butibori.
According to police, the trio was practicing driving when the driver lost control of the vehicle around 10:30 pm. The car crashed through the protective boundary of the well and fell into it. Upon receiving the alert, Butibori Police and a fire brigade team rushed to the scene.
However, rescue efforts were initially hampered due to the high water level in the well. The authorities used pumps to drain the water, after which the car was successfully retrieved. Sadly, all three occupants were found dead inside the vehicle.
Senior police officials, including the Dy SP, SDPO and Butibori Police Inspector, were present at the scene to oversee the operations.
A case of accidental death has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances leading to the tragedy.
