To ensure smooth traffic management and prevent any untoward incidents during Shab-e-Baraat, the Nagpur Traffic Police have imposed road restrictions from 6 p.m. on February 13 to 6 a.m. on February 14 in Central Nagpur.
More than one lakh members of the Muslim community are expected to visit Mominpura Kabrasthan to offer prayers and flowers at the graves of their relatives. As a precautionary measure, vehicular movement near the cemetery will be completely restricted during the specified period.
Traffic restrictions will be in place at key junctions, including Timki Tin Khamba, Saoji Chowk, and Mominpura Chowk. Roads leading from Golibar Chowk to Mominpura will be closed for four-wheelers and three-wheelers. Similarly, Chandralok Building to Mohd Ali Sarai Road will remain off-limits for vehicles. Additionally, roads coming from Bhagwaghar Chowk, Saifi Nagar, and Guard Line Underbridge will also be closed.
However, government vehicles, ambulances, and fire tenders will be allowed unrestricted movement on these routes.
The Traffic Police Department has urged citizens to cooperate and use alternative routes for their commutes during the restriction period.
