The ‘Jai Shivaji Jai Bharat’ Padyatra, set to take place on February 19 across Nagpur Division, is gearing up to celebrate the 395th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. She has directed officials to ensure seamless coordination for the padyatra, which will see a wide range of participants, including school students, municipal and Zilla Parishad officials, along with representatives from several organizations.
The padyatra will feature vibrant traditional performances, including Lezim, Danpatta, and Malkhamb, and will also have blood donation camps set up at various points along the route. In Nagpur city, the walk will kick off at 7 am from the Raje Raghuji Bhosale Memorial at Sakkardara Chowk. It will then pass through key locations such as Gajanan Chowk, Juni Puri, Keshav Dwar Chowk, Reshimbagh Chowk, CP & Berar Chowk, and Kotwali Chowk, before concluding at Gandhi Gate Chowk.
At the conclusion of the padyatra, participants will honor the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of Hindavi Swarajya. A review meeting was conducted at the Divisional Commissioner’s office, where Additional Commissioner Pradeep Kulkarni, Deputy Director of Sports Shekhar Patil, and district collectors from all areas joined via video conferencing to discuss the event’s logistics.
