Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has become a massive hit at the box office, with fans flocking to theatres in droves.
One fan, however, took his enthusiasm to an extraordinary level when he arrived at a Nagpur theatre riding a real horse.
Not only did he make an entrance on horseback, but he also rode into the theatre during the film’s screening, shouting slogans of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and ‘Jai Bhavani.’ To add to the spectacle, he was dressed as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj himself. The viral video of this incident has left social media buzzing with excitement.
The man was joined by a group of men playing the dhol as he rode into the theatre. The video, reportedly filmed on February 14, quickly went viral, with many netizens surprised by the sight of a horse inside the theatre. Some even speculated that it might be a publicity stunt by the makers of ‘Chhaava’.
On Monday, Vicky had shared another video in which a child was seen crying inconsolably after watching Chhaava. “Hamari sabse badi kamaai! Proud of you beta… wish I could give you a hug.
Thank you everyone for your love and emotions. We wished for Shambhu Raaje’s story to reach every household in the world… and to see that happening is our greatest victory (sic),” the actor wrote.
Meanwhile, Chhaava has received a roaring response not just in Maharashtra, but across India. The film’s domestic total at the box office has surged to Rs 140.50 crore as it earned Rs 24 crore on Monday. With no major release this week, Chhaava is poised to cross the Rs 200 crore mark easily.
