Patanjali’s food and herbal park in MIHAN-SEZ, Nagpur, will inaugurate its juice production unit with a grand opening on March 9 at 10 AM.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will inaugurate the facility, with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Patanjali Group’s Baba Ramdev, and Acharya Balkrishna as key guests. This marks a major milestone for the project, which had its foundation stone laid in 2016.
The large-scale initiative will primarily source raw materials from farmers in Vidarbha, strengthening local agriculture and rural livelihoods. Baba Ramdev shared a video invitation for the event, announcing his arrival in Nagpur on March 8.
Patanjali has invested over ₹1,000 crore in this large-scale project, acquiring more than 100 acres within MIHAN’s Special Economic Zone (SEZ). With a total of 418 acres in the region, the company aims to develop the facility in multiple phases.
State-of-the-art machinery is in place, and production has begun. With the official inauguration set, full-scale operations will soon follow. The food park is expected to benefit local farmers, especially citrus growers, requiring 800-900 tonnes of oranges daily for juice production.
Besides juice, other food products will be manufactured, generating significant employment. According to a media report, Baba Ramdev emphasized that the venture will boost Vidarbha’s economy and support thousands of farmers and workers.
