To celebrate International Women’s Day, the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) is organizing a three-day cultural festival, ‘Stree Mahotsav,’ from March 8 to 10 at its premises. The festival will be inaugurated on March 8 at 6:30 PM and will feature a range of performances, workshops, and literary sessions.
Key Highlights of Stree Mahotsav
March 8 (Inaugural Day):
‘Bharud’ folk performance by Bharti Jambulkar and group from Nagpur.
A special performance by ‘Panchnad’ Indian classical music band.
March 9: Kathak dance by Layshala Lalit Kala Foundation at 6:30 PM.
A special presentation by Astha Karlekar, Director, SCZCC.
A literary session by poet and writer Swarangni Sane.
March 10: Solo Kathak dance by Tanushree Chauhan at 6:00 PM.
A drama performance by Pracharya Ram Shewalkar Pratishthan.
Additionally, a three-day workshop titled ‘Vinyasa Karnataka Laya’ will be conducted by Mannarkoil J Balaji, offering participants insights into rhythm and classical music.
The festival aims to celebrate women’s contributions to art and culture and is free for all attendees
