Nagpur, 6 March 2025: To raise awareness about road safety, a ‘Ride to Safety’ rally was organised in Vinayakrao Deshmukh High School and Science Junior College, Anath Vidyalaya Campus, Lakadganj Nagpur. The event aimed to educate two-wheeler riders and pillion passengers, especially children, on the importance of traffic rules and helmet use.
The rally was flagged off by Assistant Commissioner of Police – Traffic, Nagpur, Smt. Madhuri Baviskar, as the chief guest. Over 500 children, accompanied by their parents from nearby schools, actively participated in the initiative. ISI-marked helmets were distributed to children, reinforcing the significance of road safety and the dangers of neglecting basic traffic rules.
The initiative was undertaken by ICICI Lombard as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. To date, the company has distributed over 4.47 lakh ISI-marked helmets to children and aims to distribute an additional 1.5 lakh helmets across India in the current financial year.
