A remarkable 2-day National Conference, “Natural to Synthetic: The Convergence of Traditional Medicine to Modern Medicine,” was successfully hosted by K.C. Bajaj College of Pharmacy & Research, Nagpur, on 10th and 11th March 2025. Organized in association with APTI and ITA, and supported by prestigious collaborators, the event brought together total 360 renowned scholars, industry experts, and budding researchers to explore the evolution of medicine. The conference was inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Veena Bajaj (President), Mr. Deepak Bajaj (Secretary), Ms. Dimpy Bajaj (Director)Sindhu Education Society, Jaripatk, Nagpur and Dr. Mohammad Tauqeer Sheikh (Principal, K. C. Bajaj College of Pharmacy & Research), and Mrs. Shweta Awatade (Co-convener), with Dr. Milind Umekar (National President, APTI & Principal, SKB College of Pharmac, Kamptee) as Chief Guest and Dr. Gaurishankar Parashar(Ex-Pro-Vc, R.T.M. Nagpur University, Nagpur) as Guest of Honour graced the event.
Day 1 opened with thought-provoking plenary session by Dr. Shailendra Gurav (Professor, Goa College of Pharmacy) on Ayurveda Biology & Health Management, Dr. Nazma Inamdar (Government College of Pharmacy, Amravati) on The Journey of Medicines: Natural to Synthetic, and Dr. Prakash Itankar (RTMNU, Nagpur) on Translational Research in Herbals. Day 2 featured a powerful session by Dr. Brijesh Taksande (Smt. Kishoritai Bhoyar College of Pharmacy) on Autism & Therapeutic Innovation through Physical Exercise and Last session was managed by Dr. Shagufta Khan (Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Wardha) on Nose to Brain Drug Delivery emphasis on Cancer Treatment. The event concluded with an inspiring valedictory ceremony, led by Mrs. Kanachan Mankar (Deputy Secretary, MSBTE, RBTE, Nagpur), Dr. Gourishankar Parashar (Ex-Pro Vice-Chancellor, RTMNU), and Mr. Sanjay Kukreja (Director, Adroit Pharmaceuticals). Outstanding oral and poster presentations were honored, with selected research papers set to be published in the Web of Science-indexed IJAM Journal.
Principal Dr. Mohammad Tauqeer Sheikh extended heartfelt gratitude to the organizing team, faculty, students, and delegates, emphasizing that the conference was a major step toward uniting traditional and modern medicine for a healthier future.
