Nagpur: Dhantoli police have apprehended a 50-year-old man for allegedly posting objectionable content on Instagram on Tuesday night, March 11. The accused, identified as Mangal alias Satyaprakash Nandlal Yadav, a resident of Bharati Society, Manish Nagar, Beltarodi, was tracked down using technical surveillance.
According to police sources, officials detected the offensive post while monitoring social media and initiated an investigation, which led to Yadav’s arrest. A case has been registered against him under Sections 192, 352, and 353(1)(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Dhantoli Police Station.
Following his arrest, Yadav has been remanded to police custody until March 13, 2025, as further investigations continue.
This action was carried out under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (North Zone) Pramod Shewale, Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Madane, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Sudhir Nandanwar. The operation was led by Senior Police Inspector Anamika Mirzapure, PSI Krishna Wagh, PSI Allanur Sheikh, and other officers.
