The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced on Thursday that students unable to appear for their March 15 board examination due to Holi celebrations will be given a chance to take a special exam at a later date.
CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that while Holi is celebrated on March 14 in most regions, some areas will extend festivities to March 15. Based on feedback, the board has decided to proceed with the scheduled exam while allowing affected students to write the paper later.
“These students will be accommodated in the special examination, which is typically conducted for those participating in national or international sports events,” Bhardwaj told PTI.
