Veteran Bollywood actor Deb Mukherjee passed away at the age of 83 on Tuesday due to age-related ailments. The actor, who was a prominent figure in the Indian film industry, breathed his last after battling health issues for several months, as confirmed by his family to Zoom.
His last rites will be held today at 4 PM at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Juhu, Mumbai. Several Bollywood celebrities, including Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Tanisha Mukerji, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh, are expected to attend the funeral to pay their final respects.

Deb Mukherjee was an acclaimed actor with a career spanning decades in Bollywood. He starred in several popular films, including Aansoo Ban Gaye Phool, Abhinetri, Do Boond Pani, Baaton Baaton Mein, Kaminey, and Abhinetri. Apart from his acting career, he was also the chief organizer of the prestigious North Bombay Durga Puja, an event that attracts Bollywood celebrities such as Kajol, Rani Mukerji, and others.

Mukherjee was a part of the illustrious Mukherjee film family, which has deep-rooted ties in Bollywood. He was the younger brother of veteran actor Joy Mukherjee and filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee, who was married to actress Tanuja, making Deb Mukherjee the uncle of celebrated actresses Kajol, Tanisha, Rani Mukerji, and Sharbani Mukherjee.
