The 38th convocation of IGNOU, India’s largest open university, took place on March 5 in Delhi, with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as the chief guest. This year, 3,13,770 students graduated across the country, including 1,344 from the IGNOU Nagpur centre. Among them, Abhijit Babarao Dumore and Rohan Gupta stood out by winning gold medals, presented by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Uma Kanjilal.
Abhijit, a farmer from Wani in Chandrapur, earned his gold medal in MBA (Financial Management), while Rohan, a junior engineer at Katol Railway Station, received his in MSc Environmental Science. Their achievements were celebrated by IGNOU Nagpur Regional Director Dr. Laxman Kumarwad, along with Dr. RK Krishna and Dr. Naqui Jahan Siddiqui, who congratulated the duo on their success.
