In a bid to curb illegal activities, Nagpur police have launched a crackdown on unauthorized parties at clubs, cafés, lounges, and farmhouses, where alcohol and drugs are reportedly being supplied to youth. Authorities are compiling a list of venues operating without permission, with strict action to follow. Additionally, several cafés have been placed under police surveillance.
Police Raid Holi Party at FLD Dhaba:
On Holi, police raided an illegal party at Four Line Dhaba (FLD) on Jabalpur-Hyderabad Outer Ring Road, Wathoda. The organizers, Ashish Devendra Tiwari (Naveen Nagar), Nilesh Mahesh Rokde (Subhash Nagar), Sunil Manik Gautam, and FLD owner Arif, have been booked. However, the main orchestrator, a young woman, is still on the run.
Police Crack Down on Repeat Offenders:
Over the past year, Nagpur police have raided multiple unauthorized parties at clubs, cafés, and farmhouses, many of which were promoted on social media. Investigations suggest that such gatherings are often linked to drug trafficking. Authorities have also started tracking repeat offenders involved in drug sales at these venues.
Social Media Under Scrutiny:
With reports of narcotics being sold at these parties, police are now monitoring Instagram pages like “JoinIn”, which allegedly promoted illegal events. Further action is expected as the investigation progresses.
