Nagpur’s Chitnavis Centre, known for its efforts in promoting art and culture, is set to host a grand cultural event, ‘The Festival of Bengal’, on March 22 and 23, 2025. The festival aims to introduce Nagpurians to the rich heritage, art, and intellectual traditions of Bengal. Entry to the event is free for all.
Chitnavis Centre has been a key venue for cultural programs in Nagpur for the past 12 years. As part of a charitable trust, the center also undertakes various social service initiatives, including education and skill development projects for underprivileged communities, children, and women.
The festival will feature a variety of cultural performances, including musical programs, intellectual discussions, and traditional art exhibitions. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore authentic Bengali handicrafts such as Sholapith, Dokra, Pattachitra, Kantha stitch embroidery, and traditional Bengali sarees.
Food lovers can indulge in a range of Bengali delicacies, including Alur Chop, Beguni, Paneer Roll, Basanti Pulao, Chanar Dalna with Luchi, Fish Chop, Egg Devil, Mutton Kosha, Bengali sweets, and Jhalmuri.
