Nagpur: In a swift and efficient operation, Nagpur Railway Police successfully recovered a stolen Royal Enfield Bullet worth ₹1.98 lakh within 24 hours, thanks to a traffic challan issued in Wardha and Akola.
The complainant had parked his black Royal Enfield Bullet at the two-wheeler staff parking area of Nagpur Railway Station on March 21, 2025, before leaving for Ujjain. Upon returning on March 24, 2025, he discovered that his motorcycle had been stolen. Following his complaint, the Nagpur Railway Police registered a case under Section 303 (2) of BNSand launched an investigation.
During the probe, the Crime Detection Team traced the vehicle to Wardha, where a traffic challan for helmet violation had been issued. Acting on this lead, a team of police personnel, including Constable Pushparaj Mishra, Police Constable Pravin Khawase, and Mazhar Ali, coordinated with the Wardha Traffic Police to gather further details. The records revealed that a man and a woman were riding the stolen motorcycle and had been seen traveling towards Amravati-Akola Road. Further tracking led the police to Borgaon Manju near Akola, where another challan was issued. Upon inquiry, officials confirmed that the suspects were heading towards Nashik.
Using the last known location in Nashik Road, the police, with the assistance of local law enforcement, traced the suspect to their residence. The stolen Royal Enfield Bullet was seized, and the accused was taken into custody, successfully solving the case within 24 hours.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Priyanka Narnaware (Superintendent of Railway Police, Nagpur), Dattaram Rathod (Additional SP, Railway Police, Nagpur), and Pandurang Sonawane (Divisional Police Officer, Railway Police, Nagpur). The investigation was led by Inspector Gaurav Gawande, with commendable efforts from Constables Pushparaj Mishra, Pravin Khawase, and Mazhar Ali.
