VIA Agro Food Processing & Rural Development Forum is organizing a Workshop on “Bamboo – Opportunities in the Vidarbha” on Saturday, 26th April, 2025 from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm at VIA Auditorium, Udyog Bhawan, Civil Lines, Nagpur – 440 001.
This workshop aims to create awareness and build a collaboration on bamboo’s potential as a sustainable industrial resource in Vidarbha, focusing on its ecological, economic, and livelihood benefits. It will explore government support, market opportunities, and pathways for bamboo-based industries and rural development.

Technical sessions will be conducted by Dr Lal Singh, Principal Scientist, CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur on “Verities of Bamboo Cultivation for Vidarbha”, Rahul Deshmukh, President – Bharat Bamboo Association “Bamboo Industrialization in Vidarbha – Facts and opportunities” and Dr Nirupama Deshpande, President of Sampoorna Bamboo Kendra Amaravati on “Bamboo to Business : Empowering Gruh Udyog”
