Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Lohit Matani, has announced special traffic arrangements for the 7th annual Urs of Hazrat Baba Tajuddin, scheduled to take place from July 19 to 29 at the Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Dargah, Tajbagh.
With thousands of devotees from across the country expected to visit the shrine during this period, traffic restrictions will be implemented to ensure public safety and prevent congestion. These restrictions will remain in force from January 9 to January 19, 2025.
The order, issued under the Maharashtra Police Act and State Government directives, is aimed at ensuring smooth vehicular movement and minimizing inconvenience to citizens. DCP Matani has urged the public to cooperate with traffic police and adhere to the diversions. Announcements regarding the restrictions will be made through loudspeakers and public notices at police stations and key public areas across Nagpur.
Key Traffic Regulations:
- Entry of all types of vehicles will be prohibited within a 500-meter radius of the Urs venue.
- The stretch from Sheetla Mata Temple to Chamat Chakki Chowk will remain completely closed to traffic in both directions.
- Vehicles arriving from Dighori Chowk will be diverted near Omkar Lawn.
- Traffic from Sheetla Mata Temple Chowk will be redirected via Hasanbagh to Kharbi Chowk.
Police authorities have urged citizens to plan their travel accordingly and extend full cooperation during the religious event.
