Continuing their enforcement drive to maintain road discipline, the Nagpur Traffic Police have seized a total of 70 vehicles from various parts of the city—24 auto-rickshaws and 46 e-rickshaws—for violating transport regulations.

The auto-rickshaws were impounded primarily for carrying passengers beyond the permitted capacity and for drivers failing to wear the mandated uniform. E-rickshaws were seized for carrying goods, which is strictly prohibited, and for operating on restricted roads and highways where their movement is not allowed.

The police have reiterated that this crackdown will continue across Nagpur until complete compliance is observed. Authorities have urged all auto-rickshaw drivers to wear their uniforms at all times while on duty and to carry only the allowed number of passengers. Similarly, e-rickshaw drivers have been advised to refrain from transporting goods and to operate strictly along their assigned routes.
The traffic department has emphasized that these measures are aimed at ensuring public safety, maintaining road discipline, and curbing illegal or unsafe transport practices in the city.
