Nagpur witnessed a daring daylight theft on Tuesday when unidentified miscreants broke the window of a car and fled with a cash-filled bag near Shri Ram Tower under the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station.
The incident occurred between 2.20 pm and 3 pm. According to police sources, the stolen bag contained approximately ₹25.5 lakh in cash along with a laptop bag.
The victim, identified as Faraz Siddiqui, is a petrol pump operator managing around five fuel stations in and around Nagpur. He had collected the cash from a partner’s office earlier in the day and was on his way after leaving his own office when the theft took place.
Sadar Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to trace the culprits. CCTV footage from the area is being examined to identify the suspects.
