The Regional Transport Office (RTO), Nagpur (City), is set to roll out the new MH 31 GD registration series starting Thursday, July 31. The series will apply to newly registered transport-category vehicles within its jurisdiction.
For non-transport vehicles, individuals looking to secure a special or fancy registration number will be required to pay three times the usual fee. These premium numbers will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applicants desiring a preferred registration number must submit photocopies of valid identification documents, including Aadhaar card, voter ID, passport, PAN card, and a functioning email ID. The entire allocation process will be managed through the centralized Vahan 4.0 computerized system.
Applications will be accepted during official hours between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. It is also mandatory to attach a demand draft for the applicable fee along with the application form.
