MLA Sandeep Joshi Slams NMC, Threatens Protest
In a shocking revelation, residents of Swavalambi Nagar and Deendayal Nagar—located in Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ very own Nagpur South-West constituency—have been receiving filthy, foul-smelling, and unsafe drinking water for over two weeks. Despite repeated complaints, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has allegedly turned a blind eye.
Expressing outrage, MLA Sandeep Joshi has fired off a strongly worded letter to the NMC Commissioner, calling the situation a “shameful failure” in the CM’s own backyard. “If this is the state in the Chief Minister’s constituency, one shudders to imagine the rest of the city,” Joshi lashed out.
He warned that if action is not taken immediately, he will storm the Commissioner’s office with local residents on August 7. “Do not mistake our silence for weakness,” he cautioned, highlighting rising public anger and multiple social media complaints.
Joshi’s warning signals growing political heat on civic officials. The ball is now in NMC’s court—clean up the supply or face public fury.
