In a shocking incident, 31-year-old Yashwant Ramesh Sahu, a resident of Kukreja Nagar, Jaripatka, ended his life by jumping from the Sadar flyover on Monday afternoon.
According to police reports, Sahu was employed as a security guard at MESKO. Witnesses stated that he arrived at the flyover on his motorcycle, parked it on the side, and then suddenly jumped off the bridge.
Police authorities rushed to the spot, but he succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The exact reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, and further investigation is underway.
