As part of the Central Government’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is organising a Tiranga Marathon titled ‘Ek Daud Deshbhaktisathi’ on August 12.
The 5-kilometre run will begin at 5:30 am from the Chief Minister’s residence, ‘Ramgiri’, and follow a route through Ladies Club Square, GPO, Akashwani Square, Vidhan Bhavan Square, the NMC administrative buildings, Bishop Cotton School, VCA Ground, Metro House, Tirpude College, Japanese Garden, and conclude at Anuradha Justice Bungalow.
Cash prizes of ₹11,000, ₹7,000, and ₹5,000 will be awarded to the top three finishers in both boys and girls categories. The first 10 finishers will receive Puma shoes, while those finishing between 11th and 30th place will be given track suits. The first 2,000 participants will get T-shirts, and all registered runners will receive e-certificates.
Registrations are open at [https://www.nmc-nagpur.gov.in](https://www.nmc-nagpur.gov.in) and will close on August 10. T-shirts will be distributed on August 11 at Yashwant Stadium between 2 pm and 5 pm.
Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary, along with Additional Commissioner Ajay Charthankar, have appealed to citizens to participate in large numbers and celebrate the spirit of patriotism.
