Parents of students at Narayana e-Techno School, Yavatmal, have accused the school of misleading them about its CBSE affiliation. For two years, they were assured by Cluster Principal Ramadevi Srinivasan that the school was affiliated up to Class 10. However, during a sudden meeting on July 25, parents were informed that the school is only affiliated up to Class 9.
The revelation has left families distressed, with students’ academic futures now uncertain. The school presented three last-minute options: shifting to Nagpur for board exams, appearing under another school’s name while studying in Yavatmal, or switching to the Maharashtra State Board—just months before the final term.
Parents say these choices are unrealistic and damaging to children’s mental health. They also condemned the school’s ultimatum to collect Transfer Certificates (TCs) before July 31 if they disagreed.
“This is not just academic stress—it’s emotional trauma for our children,” said one mother, adding that students are being teased by peers and fear missing their board exams.
The parents are demanding an investigation, accountability from the school, and immediate relief for affected families
