In connection with the teacher recruitment scam at the Education Department, the Sadar police has arrested a female teacher. The case pertains to FIR No. 254/2024 under IPC Sections 420, 465, 468, 471, 406, 120(B), and Maharashtra Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act.
As per police records, a complaint was lodged by a teacher from Shivaji High School, Godhani, against Bhavana Hulyalkar Yadav and others. The complainant alleged that Bhavana, while posing as a government education officer, assured job placements for teachers at schools in Nagpur and Bhandara districts and took money from multiple candidates under false promises.
The accused Bhavana Yadav (age 44), a resident of Hingna, was arrested and produced before the Hon’ble Court. She has been remanded to police custody.
Further investigation is ongoing to trace other accused individuals and verify documents submitted during the recruitment process.
