Good news for railway passengers — Indian Railways’ newly launched Super App RailOne now offers free OTT (Over-The-Top) entertainment during train journeys.
With this feature, passengers can enjoy movies, web series, documentaries, audio programs, games, and more while traveling.
RailOne App Launch
Launched on July 1, 2025, RailOne is an all-in-one mobile application with a simple, user-friendly interface. It combines several passenger services in one place, including unreserved UTS ticket booking, live train tracking, grievance redressal, e-catering, porter booking, last-mile taxi service, and regular ticket reservations.
OTT Content on RailOne
The app now integrates the WAVES OTT platform, launched by Prasar Bharati in November 2024. WAVES offers content in over 10 languages, including live TV, on-demand videos, audio content, games, and even e-commerce services.
About WAVES OTT
WAVES collaborates with content creators, regional broadcasters, and cultural institutions across India to offer a rich mix of entertainment in multiple Indian languages and dialects, promoting linguistic and cultural diversity.
How to Watch Free OTT Content on RailOne
To stream free movies, shows, and other entertainment on RailOne:
- Log in using mPIN or biometric via the app’s single sign-on feature.
- Go to the ‘More Offerings’ section and select ‘Go To Waves’.
- A new page will open with access to free OTT content including films, shows, and documentaries.
More About the RailOne App
Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), RailOne also supports existing RailConnect and UTS credentials.
The app helps passengers save space on their phones by removing the need for multiple railway-related apps.
Tickets can still be booked through the IRCTC app, but RailOne is an authorised partner just like other commercial apps linked with IRCTC.
