A tragic road accident occurred in Bhivapur, Nagpur District. when a speeding car lost control and fell from a bridge into the Maru riverbed, plunging nearly 35 to 40 feet.
The incident took place around 8 a.m. on Sunday while the vehicle was traveling from Nilaj towards Umred. It is suspected that the driver lost control while negotiating a turn.
In the accident, one young man, identified as Sagar Waghmare, lost his life. The car was later pulled out of the riverbed with the help of local residents, though it sustained extensive damage.
Preliminary reports suggest that overspeeding led to the accident. Police teams rushed to the spot immediately and have begun further investigation into the incident.
