The Alliance Air Amravati-Mumbai flight, which was inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has become a headache for the people in the Amravati region. The flights are cancelled frequently. The flights since August 22 have been cancelled. The Alliance Air has quoted ‘operational problems’ for the cancellation of the flights.
People in the Amravati region were happy as the air services were inaugurated on April 16 this year. The services were available thrice in a week –Monday, Wednesday and Friday. During the four months, the flights were cancelled frequently, disturbing the travel schedule of the passengers.
Recently the flights were cancelled due to inclement weather. However, the company has announced that the flights to Mumbai will not be available on August 22, 25, 27 and 29 due to ‘operational problems’.
