Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has taken stern action in the Laxmi Nagar Zone office file theft case. The administration has permanently blacklisted two contractors and cancelled their registration certificates.
According to reports, on July 25, contractors Aniket Rangari and Rajesh Rangari stole official files from the office of Deputy Engineer Abhijeet Netam at the Laxmi Nagar Zone. Following the incident, Netam lodged a complaint at Bajaj Nagar police station, based on which a criminal case was registered against the accused.
Taking serious note of the matter, NMC Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijeet Choudhary issued orders on August 21.
As per the directive, the registration certificates of both contractors have been cancelled and they have been permanently banned from participating in any future municipal tenders.
