The newly concreted stretch from Ashok Chowk to Panchpawali has started crumbling within just a week, exposing the poor quality of work and negligence of the authorities. The road, which was meant to ease traffic, has instead become a nightmare for daily commuters.
Within days of construction, the concrete surface has broken apart, leaving behind dangerous potholes and craters. Heavy vehicle movement has worsened the situation, and rainwater accumulation is making it even more hazardous for motorists and pedestrians.
This route, one of the busiest in the area, remains jammed with traffic throughout the day. Residents and commuters are frustrated, complaining that despite repeated reminders, no permanent solution is being provided.
Officials have assured that the damaged portion will be replaced and blacktopping will be carried out after necessary testing. However, until then, citizens continue to suffer daily because of careless construction and administrative negligence.
