Authorities have emphasized the importance of proper planning and arrangements for devotees visiting Deekshabhoomi on the occasion of Dhammachakra Pravartan Din.
Instructions were given during the district-level administrative review meeting to ensure that every visitor has access to essential facilities including health services, security, cleanliness, and food arrangements.
Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravindra Kumar Singhal, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary, and District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar reviewed the preparations with department heads.
The meeting noted that Dhammachakra Pravartan Din celebrations at Deekshabhoomi will take place next month. Former minister Adv. Sulekha Kumbhare, Dr. Sudhir Phulzele and Dr. Rajendra Gavai of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Deekshabhoomi Memorial Committee, along with senior officials from various departments, attended the review session. They stressed ensuring sanitation, health services, drinking water availability, bathing and toilet facilities, and comprehensive security measures for the followers.
Special arrangements are being planned for devotees arriving from different parts of Maharashtra, across India, and abroad. The administration will ensure adequate drinking water supply, enhanced cleanliness at Deekshabhoomi and Dragon Palace premises, and deployment of sanitation staff.
Cleanliness measures will also be extended to railway stations and bus stands for the convenience of incoming visitors.
