The Physical Education and Sports Department of Dhanwate National College, Nagpur, managed by Shri Shivaji Shikshan Sanstha, Amravati, will host the Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh Krida Mahotsav for the 25th consecutive year from October 4 to 7. Marking the silver jubilee edition of the Mahotsav, an open cross-country competition will be held on October 5 across four categories.
The event will feature a 5-kilometre race for boys under 18, a 3-kilometre race for girls under 18, and 10-kilometre races for men and women over 18. Winners in each category will be awarded cash prizes, medals, and certificates, while all participants will receive certificates of participation. In the open category, the top eight finishers will also be awarded cash prizes, the organisers said.
