The Central Government has extended the PM SVANidhi (Prime Minister Street Vendor Self-Reliant Fund) scheme until March 2030, with higher loan limits for street vendors.
To support this, a ‘Lok Kalyan Melava’ is being held from 17 September to 2 October 2025 at all nationalized banks in the Nagpur Municipal Corporation area, especially at various State Bank of India branches. The camp will offer:
Loan disbursement
Digital onboarding assistance
Access to PM Security Insurance and PM Jeevan Jyoti Insurance
Updated Loan Limits:
Stage 1: ₹15,000 (previously ₹10,000)
Stage 2: ₹25,000 (previously ₹20,000)
Stage 3: ₹50,000

Commissioner Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhary urges street vendors who have not yet benefited from PM SVANidhi to visit the camp. Those whose social and economic surveys are incomplete should contact the Social Development Department in Zones 1–10. Vendors with pending bank applications should bring their documents to the camp to avail of benefits.
For vendors who have already received loans, surveys are being conducted to provide benefits under eight central government schemes:

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Ranjana Lade confirmed that beneficiaries will be able to access these schemes through the respective departments after the surveys are completed.
