In an inspiring initiative titled “Bharat Parikrama – Bharatache Rang, Narichya Sang” (India Tour – Colours of India, in the Spirit of Women), two determined women, Mrs. Laxmi Matre, an entrepreneur and social activist, and Dr. Anshuja Kimmatkar, an author, psychologist, and Limca Record holder, are set to undertake a remarkable all-India drive. This ambitious journey aims to promote women empowerment, celebrate India’s cultural and environmental diversity, and spread the message of national unity.
The unique expedition has been conceptualized to create awareness about women’s strength and self-reliance while showcasing the beauty and diversity of India. Through this tour, the duo will interact with people from different regions, sharing stories of inspiration, progress, and empowerment. The journey will also highlight environmental awareness and the importance of preserving India’s cultural heritage, with a focus on solidarity and inclusiveness.
The Bharat Parikrama will begin with two flag-off events. The first flag-off will take place at Gandhi Chowk, Ramtek, at 8:00 AM, in the gracious presence of Hon. Shri Ashish Jaiswal, Minister of State, Maharashtra Government. The second flag-off will be held at Zizree Mile, Nagpur, at 10:00 AM, in the presence of Hon. Shri Krupal Tumane, Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
The journey officially commences on October 1, 2025, marking the beginning of an extraordinary expedition that aims to ignite social consciousness and strengthen the message of women’s empowerment across the country. The organizers have appealed to citizens to participate and extend their support, honoring the courage and determination of these two trailblazing women.
This campaign is supported by Matruka Foundation, in collaboration with Srujan Mahila Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha, Nagpur Mahila Mandal, and Aabhal Yuva Vachan Katta. The expedition is guided and managed by Atulniya Adventure, under the leadership of international athlete and explorer Atul Kumar Choukse.
The event symbolizes not only a journey across the map of India but also a journey of spirit, courage, and empowerment — reflecting the true colours of India and the strength of its women.
