Nagpur has been bathed in a gentle pink glow as part of a citywide awareness campaign launched to mark World Breast Cancer Awareness Day and the Amrit Mahotsav year of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).
In collaboration with the Rotary Club of Nagpur North, the NMC has initiated a “Mega Campaign” aimed at spreading awareness about breast cancer prevention and early detection. As part of this effort, the NMC’s electrical department has illuminated key city landmarks, prominent junctions, and important civic buildings in pink light — the global symbol of breast cancer awareness.

From major squares to municipal structures, the soft pink radiance has transformed the city’s nightscape, creating a striking visual message of hope, strength, and solidarity with breast cancer warriors and survivors. The initiative has been widely appreciated by citizens and health organizations alike for its thoughtful blend of beauty and purpose.
