NAGPUR – The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has announced a large-scale protest against Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) on November 13, accusing the institution of widespread mismanagement, administrative apathy, and academic irregularities.
During a press conference held on Tuesday, ABVP city secretary Payal Kinake criticised the university for what she described as a “complete breakdown” in its functioning. She pointed to persistent issues affecting students — from admissions and examinations to recruitment delays, result backlogs, syllabus revisions, website glitches, and the long-pending student union elections.
Kinake alleged that the administration’s failure to act decisively has jeopardised the academic future of thousands of students studying at RTMNU and its affiliated colleges. “Despite several representations and meetings, no concrete action has been taken. The system has collapsed due to delays and negligence. Students are waiting endlessly for results and recruitment updates, while the university’s outdated website reflects its indifference,” she said.
Calling the situation “unacceptable,” ABVP has urged the university to take immediate corrective measures, warning that the student body will continue its agitation until substantial reforms are implemented.
