Nagpur: Imamwada Police have detained two 16-year-old boys in conflict with law for allegedly murdering a 34-year-old man following a monetary dispute on Tuesday night.
The deceased, identified as Nilesh alias Bala Kiran Ambadare, a resident of Indira Nagar, Jat Tarodi, Galli No. 2, was brutally attacked near Bar Signal, close to Borkar Nagar Nala, around 10.30 pm on October 15.
According to police, the juveniles threw chilli powder into Ambadare’s eyes before stabbing him multiple times in the stomach and body. They also smashed a stone on his face, leaving him grievously injured. He was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him brought dead.
Based on a complaint filed by Minakshi Raju Kohale (37), sister of the deceased, Imamwada Police registered a case under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). Acting promptly, police traced and detained both minors.
Further probe is being conducted under the supervision of senior officials.
