Koradi–Khindsi, Koradi–Tadoba, and Koradi–Parsey Reservoir routes are being considered for introducing seaplane facilities. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has directed the National Highways Authority and Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) to submit a detailed feasibility report on these routes. This indicates that the long-awaited seaplane service from Nagpur could soon become a reality.
A review meeting was held on Friday at Gadkari’s residence regarding various developmental projects. Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, NMRDA Commissioner Sanjay Meena, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari, District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, and other senior officials were present.
Gadkari instructed officials to complete all pending works within the stipulated time. He also directed coordination between NHAI and Metro authorities to beautify the Kamthi–Kanhan Metro track area and to accelerate the ongoing works of the Kamthi–Ram Nagar foot overbridge for public convenience.
Officials informed that the dredging work at Koradi Road is nearing completion and the report will soon be submitted to the central authorities.
