At a government event in Nagpur on Friday, attended by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, two senior women officers from the postal department were seen arguing on stage—reportedly over seating arrangements on the dais.
The dispute involved the postmaster general of the Nagpur region, who had recently been transferred to Karnataka, and the postmaster general of Navi Mumbai, who was given additional charge of Nagpur following the transfer. However, the Nagpur officer challenged her transfer in court and secured a stay order, creating uncertainty about who officially holds charge of the region.
Tensions between the two had been building for weeks and came to a head during the event. Video clips of the incident, now viral on social media, show both officers seated on the same sofa on stage when a heated exchange erupted. The officer contesting her transfer is allegedly seen pushing her colleague’s hand, spilling water, and even pinching her arm—all in full public view, with Gadkari present on stage.
