The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has announced that on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, essential maintenance and repair work will be carried out at various substations across Nagpur city. Due to this, electricity supply to several key areas will remain suspended for a few hours. MSEDCL has appealed to citizens to cooperate and plan their activities in advance to avoid inconvenience.
Areas Affected:
In the Mahal Division, power supply will be disrupted from 9:00 am to 10:30 am on the 11 kV Umred Road line for major cable connection work. The affected areas include Nandanvan Road, Gurudev Nagar, Mire Layout, Mangalmurti Chowk, Nandanvan Main Road, Kirti Sweet Road, and nearby localities.
In Wathoda and Shastri Nagar areas, supply will remain off from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for AB switch maintenance under the Wathoda branch office. Affected localities include Garoba Maidan, Shastri Nagar, Kumbhar Toli, Hiwri Layout, Babulban, Geeta Bhavan, and nearby areas.
Additionally, several other areas will face power outages for a few hours, including Siraspeeth, Gulabbaba Ashram area, Tulshibag, Rahatekar Wadi, Mangpura, Dasara Road, Kashibai Temple area, Tahsildar Masjid, C.P. & Berar College, Naik Road, Bhosle Vihar Colony, Gujarwada, Upadhye Road, Kothi Road, Hasanbagh, Nandanvan, LIG-HIG-MIG Colonies, Nandanvan Slum, Rajendra Nagar Chowk, Sanmarg Nagar, Dhangawli Nagar, Corporation Colony, Jawahar Nagar, Khankhoje Nagar, Durga Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Ayodhya Nagar, Sai Mandir, Shyam Nagar, Jayhind Society, Surat Society, Rudrashakti Enclave, Pitruchhaya Society, Rajgriha Society, Geetanjali Society, Somwar Bazaar Road, Beltarodi Road, Dwarkapuri, Naik Nagar, Mitra Nagar, Chandra Nagar, Shukla Nagar, Bank Colony, and Wanjari Nagar.
In the Congress Nagar Division, areas such as Venkatesh City, Padmavati Nagar, Somalwada, Deendayal Nagar, Trimurti Nagar, and Yashodhara Nagar will also experience temporary outages.
In the Civil Lines Division, power will be interrupted as follows:
- 9:00 am to 1:00 pm: Lumbini Nagar, Old Wasti Manakapoor, Safe Way Motors, Delhi Hotel, Taj Nagar, Sant Dnyaneshwar Society, Avadh Hospital, Manakapoor Ghat, Fars Road, Rachna Madhuban, Tavakkal Society, Shiv Krishna Dham, Krishna Nagar, Azad Nagar, Panchsheel Nagar, Manavta Nagar, Gittikhadan area, Machhi Market Line, GIS Colony, Utthan Nagar, Indrayani Society, Ibrahim Real Estate, Dhawan Celebration, Gorewada, Kadbi Chowk, Mecosa Bagh, Christian Colony, Sindhi Colony, and Lumbini Nagar.
- 10:00 am to 3:00 pm: Gaddigodam, Mohan Nagar, Khalasi Line, Ganesh Mandir, Gajanan Maharaj Mandir area, Telangana Road, CPWD Bungalows No. 18 and 19, and the old quarters area.
- 8:00 am to 12:00 noon: Pivli Nadi, Killa Company, and Automotive Chowk.
In the Butibori Division, starting 10:00 am, power supply in the MIDC area will be affected due to work on 11 kV Feeder No. 3 (B Zone) and 11 kV Feeder No. 4 (B Zone) at the MIDC substation.
MSEDCL Appeal:
MSEDCL has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to residents. The company stated that the work is necessary to ensure safe and reliable power supply. Consumers are requested to cooperate and manage essential tasks such as water storage and household work accordingly during the scheduled outage period.
